Sammy D Foundation named finalist in 2025 Community Achievement Awards

We’re proud to share that the Sammy D Foundation has been named a finalist in the Beyond Bank Community Group Award, part of the 7NEWS Community Achievement Awards, proudly presented by SkyCity Adelaide.

Being recognised as a finalist places us among the top five community organisations in South Australia, an achievement we’re incredibly grateful for, and one that belongs to our entire community.

The Community Achievement Awards celebrate individuals, organisations, and businesses that make a meaningful contribution to South Australia. To be acknowledged alongside so many dedicated community groups is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when people come together with a shared purpose.

For us, this recognition reflects more than a single program or moment. It speaks to the collective impact of educators, mentors, volunteers, partners, supporters, schools, sporting clubs, and young people who believe in building safer, kinder communities.

Every day, we see the difference this work makes. We see students learning how to pause, walk away, and look out for their mates. We hear teachers talk about conversations continuing long after our sessions end. We watch communities come together around prevention, not reaction. None of that happens without the support of people who believe early education can change lives.

The winners of each category will be announced at the Community Achievement Awards Gala Presentation Dinner on Saturday 21 February 2026 at SkyCity Adelaide.

While awards nights celebrate achievements, this moment is really about gratitude. Gratitude for the trust schools place in us, for the partners who walk alongside us, and for the supporters who make it possible for us to reach young people before harm occurs.

As we head into 2026, this recognition strengthens our resolve to keep going. Demand for violence prevention education continues to grow, and moments like this remind us that the work matters, and that together, real change is possible.
