A year of growth, evolution and deeper impact
As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a year that wasn’t just busy, but deeply meaningful for our education programs and the young people we work alongside.
This year, our Education Team delivered 526 programs, including sessions still being wrapped up right through to the final week of term. That included 137 presentations and 361 workshops, delivered across schools, sporting clubs, and communities.
In total, we reached 24,634 young people in 2025. This number sits within a much bigger picture. Since the Sammy D Foundation was established, we’ve now educated more than 300,000 young people, each reached through conversations designed to build safety, empathy, and positive choices. It’s a milestone that reflects years of trust from schools and communities, and the steady belief that education can prevent harm before it happens.
Programs designed for real life
Throughout the year, we continued to refine and strengthen our programs to better reflect the realities young people face every day. Many of our sessions now bring learning together into a single, highly interactive experience, creating space for honest conversation, reflection, and practical skill building.
What matters most to us is what happens after the session ends.
Recent longitudinal data shows that 18 per cent of young people who participated in our Impact Program have had to use the skills they learned within the past 12 months. That means these conversations aren’t staying in the classroom, they’re being carried into real-life moments where choices matter. It means that lives are being saved.
What we delivered in 2025
The majority of our work this year focused on our Impact programs, with 421 sessions delivered across schools and communities. Alongside this, we delivered 86 Party Wise sessions, supporting young people to navigate alcohol and other drug related risks, six True Colours programs delivered as two eight-week blocks, and 13 Game Changers and Monkey See Monkey Do sessions, strengthening positive role modelling and culture in sport.
Across every program, the focus remained the same, equipping young people with the confidence to pause, step away from harm, and look out for their mates.
Looking ahead
This year has been full of learning, growth, and powerful moments of change. Demand for our programs continues to grow, and each booking reflects a shared belief that prevention, education, and early conversations can make a lasting difference.
To every school, club, and community that welcomed us in, thank you. And to every supporter who makes this work possible, your belief in prevention is helping young people build safer futures.
We’re proud of what’s been achieved in 2025, and excited about what lies ahead.
